Point in Time Homeless Count

The Alliance to End Homelessness in Suburban Cook County is looking for volunteers for the 2020 Point-in-Time Unsheltered Homeless Count. The Alliance is the coordinator of a federally mandated homeless count that occurs every year. This year’s count is Wednesday, January 29, 2020.

The agency is excited to announce the promotion of Ebony Martin from Street Outreach Specialist to Family Support Specialist. Ebony worked in her previous role for three years, making numerous key connections in the community, and becoming a recognized expert is working with families.

Volunteers are an essential part of the PADS Emergency shelter program which operates from September to May providing a place to sleep and three meals, 7 nights a week at 11 rotating sites in host congregregations in Berwyn, Forest Park and Oak Park for between 20 and 60 people in the midst of a housing crisis.
