Housing Forward would like to thank all who came out to our Annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner Thursday, May 25th. It was truly a night to remember and we appreciate those that helped share the evening with us. The night's festivities included highlights from community in-kind contributions, volunteer testimonials, a call to action and honoring those who have retired and volunteering for 20+ years.

Lily was chosen to receive the Governor’s Service Award in the Youth Northeast category and as a Youth Hero by the American Red Cross. Celebrating National AmeriCorps Week

Last week we celebrated National AmeriCorps Week. Beyond showing appreciation for our AmeriCorps members, it was an opportunity to increase awareness of the valuable contributions AmeriCorps members make to our communities and country. Housing Forward would like to thank our 13 members serving here and hosted at our partner agencies, BEDS Plus and the Oak Park River Forest Food Pantry.

AmeriCorps members have the opportunity to learn valuable work skills, earn money for education and develop an appreciation for citizenship.
