Volunteer Opportunities

1. SHORT TERM RECEPTIONIST SUPPORT

Housing Forward is in need of office receptionist support the weeks of 10/22-26; 10/29-11/2. This person(s) will be responsible for supporting various administrative projects and day-to-day duties for the organization. This position is ideal for an individual with strong organizational, interpersonal and verbal communication   skills. Hours of operation M-F; 9am – 5pm (Can be scheduled into several shifts). 2. EMERGENCY SHELTER

PADS shelter is in need of additional volunteers for the following shifts. Please see Cleo Smith, volunteer@housingforward.org,  (708) 338-1724 ext.313 for scheduling.

Emergency Shelter is also in need of meal providers that help to provide breakfast, lunch or dinner on a monthly basis. Click HERE to view open meal slots.

Shift(s): 1st (6:30pm – 10:30pm) 2nd (10:30pm – 5:00am) and 3rd (5:00am – 7:30am)

3. STABILITY SERVICES

Housing Forward’s Emergency Assistance program provides a wide variety of emergency assistance and support for individuals facing financial or housing crisis in west suburban Cook County. The program's compassionate volunteers listen to each person’s individual situation and, working together with the client, use solutions-based counseling to develop a plan of action.
