For your Black Friday To-Do List...

Black Friday To Do List for Housing Forward

We have suggestions for your Black Friday To-Do List!

1. Spread the word about GivingTuesday!

GivingTuesday is a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. We can’t think of a better way to do good than to support our bold vision of ending homelessness. To double the impact, a local foundation will match the first $20,000 in GivingTuesday donations* to Housing Forward.

Mark your calendar to donate and help spread the word to family, friends and colleagues. Tag us at @housingforward on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn, and hashtag #GivingTuesday.

Write your own caption, or use this one: November 29 is #GivingTuesday. It’s a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. I can’t think of a better way to do good than to support Housing Forward's bold vision of ending homelessness.

2. Pick up some good reads!

After two years off during the pandemic, The Book Table’s popular Black Friday fundraiser is back! On Friday, they will donate 10% of all Black Friday sales—in-store and online—to Housing Forward!

Give the gift of reading this holiday season.  While you are there, check out holiday cards and other items that you can check off your holiday to-do list.

Visit The Book Table at 1045 Lake Street in Oak Park or shop online at https://www.booktable.net/

3. Brew something delicious and warm this weekend.

Whirlwind Coffee Company is partnering with Housing Forward to support our essential services. $3 for every bag of Creature Comforts sold will be donated to Housing Forward to help individuals and families move from housing crisis to housing stability. This special and delicious community blend will warm you up knowing you’re helping to end homelessness!

Order online on Black Friday or pick up a bag of Creature Comforts at their store, located at 513 Madison Street in Oak Park, on Small Business Saturday!
