After our fire at our Headquarters in Maywood, we quickly put an action plan in motion to make our recovery as prompt and predictable as possible in order to limit the disruption in services and programs to the clients we serve. St. Eulalia has generously worked with us throughout the rebuilding process to help Housing Forward in our efforts to resume our operations in our Support Center and Headquarters.
For now, we are focusing on the reconstruction of the Support Center. We have partnered with Heartland Construction who had been involved in the original redesign of the Support Center in 2009. We have also enlisted the help of Maureen Hunter who has generously donated her time to manage the rebuilding project, which means we are able to stay on track and our staff can remain focused on their work. We expect to be able to re-open our Support Center just after Thanksgiving and we are grateful for those that lent their financial support, personal time and professional services to help make this happen.
