The summer Transitional Shelter program provides short-term shelter for up to 12 clients that are on an employment or educational track or have an imminent housing plan in order to rapidly re-house individuals and families. There are also three beds dedicated to those who are newly homeless.
The Auxiliary Board is an opportunity to participate in Housing Forward’s largest fundraising event of the year. You will be a part of a passionate team of professionals and volunteers working together to create an exciting silent auction for our guests. In addition to working in support of our mission, the Auxiliary Board also provides a way for you to learn new skills and broaden your professional and social circles.

Current volunteer openings in our PADS Shelter for the following days and shifts:
We need volunteers to provide breakfast on Wednesday, March 29, at Grace Episcopal Church, 924 W. Lake Street, Oak Park. The site capacity is generally 60 clients.
Volunteers are also needed to provide 25 sack lunches to drop off on Friday, March 31 at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, 545 South East Avenue, Oak Park.
