Thanksgiving Market @ the River Forest Kitchen

Continuing its annual celebration of showcasing local artisans and culinary cuisine, River Forest Kitchen welcomes guests to meet the area’s local artisans, sample their products and buy directly – proving to be your one-stop shop for Thanksgiving fixings and holiday needs. This year will be even more special with a guest appearance from River Forest’s own, Addison Osta Smith, winner of Season 4 MasterChef Junior and Housing Forward supporter.

For just a taste of what shoppers will find at the market, Rare Bird Preserves will have an assortment of jams and preserves and Buttercream Bakery will offer decorated sugar cookies, cupcakes and brownies. Head’s Red BBQ, New Rose Catering and Carnivore will sell appetizers, sides and more to make your Thanksgiving dinner delicious.

“The purpose of the event is to provide shoppers with an opportunity to do their Thanksgiving shopping all at once; turkeys, side dishes, soups, pies, and more,” said Adam Friedberg of Brand & Company and co-founder of River Forest Kitchen. “It’s simple, head to River Forest Kitchen and you won’t have to worry about going from store to store to find high quality products and delicious food to make this year’s holiday your best one yet.”

Participating vendors include River Forest Kitchen tenants: Rare Bird, Bettyplum Handmade Confections, Victory Dance, New Rose Catering, Karl’s Craft Soups, Head’s Red BBQ and Buttercream Bakery.  Other local favorites include: Carnivore, Counter Coffee and Alioto’s Gift Shop.  Each vendor will have their own table to showcase and sell their goods and services and will work with shoppers if product pick-ups are required.

The event has been organized by River Forest Kitchen with the help and support of Elizabeth Madden and Adam Friedberg. 100% of donations collected at the door will benefit Housing Forward.
