Join a community of supporters who are joining forward to end homelessness through monthly gifts to Housing Forward. Monthly giving is easy for you. For credit card pledges, simply visit our donation page and choose the second donation option - "To make recurring donations - Click 'Create Profile'." After you create your profile, you can choose your monthly donation amount and the day of the month on which you want your credit card to be charged.

To change the amount of your monthly donation at any time, return to our donation page and log into your account.

A donation that is given in honor or in remembrance is a meaningful way to pay tribute while helping people experiencing crisis. We will send an acknowledgment to the person being honored or remembered, emphasizing the meaningfulness of the tribute gift.

A gift of appreciated stock or securities can help people experiencing a housing crisis while providing your certain income tax benefits to you and your family.  For individuals who itemize deductions on their federal tax return, a donation of publicly traded securities held for more than one year—such as stocks, bonds, and mutual funds— can potentially eliminate the capital gains tax that would be incurred if the assets were sold and the proceeds donated to charity.

Please contact us if you plan to donate stocks or securities. We will provide information needed to transfer your securities easily. 

Donor-advised funds, which are 501(c)(3) public charities, provide an excellent gifting option for donations of publicly traded securities and offer certain income tax benefits. All gifts to donor-advised funds are irrevocable. Please be aware that gifts of appreciated non-cash assets can involve complicated tax analysis and advanced planning. Please consult with your tax or legal advisor.

Leave a legacy for people experiencing or a risk of homelessness.  Making a donation through your will can be accomplished very simply. A straightforward sentence in your will can help the people we serve live rich and meaningful lives.

Example:
“I give, devise, and bequeath to Housing Forward, the sum of ________ dollars ($_______) for the benefit of its general support (or specify the specific program you wish to support).”

A legacy gift can be designated to a specific program or for general support.
Please consult with your legal advisor about preparing a planned gift.

Employer matching gifts are a great way to double or triple the impact of your donation. Be sure to ask your employer if they have a matching gift fund. All gifts made to Housing Forward through workplace giving are tax deductible.

Workplace giving programs provide an easy way to support Housing Forward. Simply sign up for your employer’s workplace giving campaign and use automatic payroll deduction to make your donation.

If your employer partners with Community Health Charities (CHC), look for the Housing Forward listing under CHC. If your employer offers an independent campaign, ask your program administrator how to designate your gift to Housing Forward.

Corporate groups can conduct a drive to collect the items our clients need most. We provide a downloadable flyer for each of the drives below that can be personalized for your group.  We can also customize the delivery to provide a meaningful experience for the members of your group.
