7th Annual Trivia Night

7th Annual Trivia Night

How Much Does it Cost to Make a Nickel?

Did you know, in 2016 it cost the United States Mint 6.23 cents to make a nickel?

On Thursday, July 13, Ian Cox, will be taking the stage as the new Trivia Master for Housing Forward’s annual Trivia Night. Teams of up to six people will participate in a mind-bending night of trivia at FitzGerald’s in Berwyn. Ian has a few tricks up his sleeve to keep the night interesting, but you will have to join us to find out the twists our trivia will take this year.

Originally from Massachusetts, Ian has been a Chicago resident since 2009. After earning his BA in theatre from Columbia College, he decided to turn his engaging personality and love for random facts into a career working for Chicago Trolley as an energetic tour guide and now as a Regional Manager.

Ian attributes his love of trivia to his father. “He is a nonstop vending machine of general knowledge,” says Ian. The constant barrage of “did you know” questions from not only his father, but his father’s side of the family, inspired Ian to really dig into trivia. He not only loves learning interesting facts, but also thinks of trivia as a way to meet and connect with new people. “For me, it’s a way to start a conversation and it is really great for my job,” Ian reflects.

“I’m excited to volunteer with Housing Forward. It is a worthy cause that allows me to help others in our community, and I get to contribute something I am passionate about,” says Ian.
